I have taken some pics earlier today of the garden in progress.Slug damaged gladiolus, newly flowering french marigolds, more orange roses, a wild petunia flower edited to its true colour.
But the most good pictures are the last two.I finally have seen a bird on my feeder, and photographed it for posterity.I never noticed untill after the bird is looking right at the camera.
A there you go we do exist!!All i have seen is bird food on the ground benath it, and a rapidly dwindling supply of it, viewed through the mesh.I want them to keep visiting to eat slugs and snails!!
Back to work now for six days so few photos.I will look every day for new things to write about or get a picture of.

Great pictures! Careful, though. Birdwatching can be addictive. I'm up to two feeders and a groundfeeding station, four different birdseed blends and I bore my friends with enthusiastic accounts of all my birdsightings!
I am already thinking about buying more bird feeders, and a ground station too.
This morning i saw two of those birds attacking the seeds franticly.Three more hopped around the post underneath attacking the crumbs.I could not recognise what it is from my birdbook.
I want to join the RSPB (a british bird charity) for the magasine.I have loved birds from an early age.Just wanting to know what i was looking at!!
Yup! I'm a member of the Audubon Society here in the US. I'm considering getting binoculars and a better camera so I can see better and photograph the birds that visit my feeders. I was never much of a bird enthusiast until this spring when I bought the second feeder specifically to attract a woodpecker I kept hearing but had never seen. Turns out there are two species of woodpeckers!
That is so cool.I have seen blackbirds, a pair of magpies, and lots of other birds. You need to be able to see close.I hope more feeders mean more birds visiting.
There are lots of big trees a few gardens away and they attract loads of birds!A safe haven from cats!!
