Chilling week

I have been chilling at home on my week off.Not a lot to do in the garden.I am content to watch the leaves fall from the Cottinus, and the Forsythia.

The windowsills are full of plants growing too.I have been reading other blogs too.

See whats growing in other gardens. The days are shorter in terms of daylight, and getting colder.

What is scary is some people have already put their Christmas decorations on the front of the house.

Hope all your gardens are growing on, even with winter approaching :)

Hi snappy, I do my Christmas decoration out in Dezember, not before. It is warm in the Moment, I feel a bit like summer, so I can not put out Christmas tree.

Hey Bro'
I've already put my Xmas Tree up. It went up the weekend before last! My excuse is that I spend a lot of time outside the house, socialising after work and therefore the time I spend looking at my Xmas tree is less than someone who's at home a lot... makes sense to me!
Love sis x

My Christmas decorations are going up tomorrow. Is the only time I have before Xmast.

My neighbor put hers up yesterday.

I just had breakfast on the open back porch in the sun, where it was warmer than inside my house. :)

I do have some end of the year garden clean-up to do, so had better get with it before those decorations are buried in you-know-what.

Relaxing is good for the spirit. We all need it!

Haa, we got 25 cm snow couple weeks ago but all has gone! So this feels like a spring again...only the days are darker.
Oh I dont have any Christmas decorations outside...but quess what...my living room is full of decorations, only Christmas tree is missing. This all is Carols "fault"...she organized some Christmas swaps which I was participating...and thats why I already have my Christmas mood!

We don't have any Christmas decorations up yet, I'm heartened to see most of you refer to them as Christmas decorations and not happy holiday decorations!

We had a little snow today, with the possibility of more tomorrow. It makes the garden look enchanting. In another month, we will be receiving seed and garden catalogs in the mail. Do you get some? Those are fun to browse through in the winter while dreaming of spring.

It sure is getting colder Snappy. When you said that you had been 'chilling' this past week l couldn't have agreed with you more-lol.
Brought my geraniums through to the laundry room from the front porch today- still cool back there but they should do better- out of the wind too.
Keep warm and well

Know what you mean about early Christmas decorations. People do it here too. Way too early.....like some mid November! Takes the season`s feeling away I think when they start too soon.
I wait until the first week of December and sometimes the second if I can`t find time.

How nice that the leaves are still falling from the Cottinus and Forsythia where you are. It's freezing and there is snow on the ground in Massachusetts. I've been observing Christmas decorations on lawns & front of houses since Thanksgiving (Nov)--seems to get earlier every year (they are getting bigger too).
