Those look so nice. I can never get primroses to grow where I live, and I really really like them. They grow for a year, maybe two and then never come back. :(
But that pic makes me want them even more.
Thanks for these photos. We don't see many public plantings like this around here. The cities are beginning to realize that it's easier to maintain native plantings, which are nice, but don't give the spectacular hits of color like these primroses do. It's been 21 years since I've been in England and I didn't get anywhere beyond London, but I still remember the massive plantings of daffodils in bloom in the parks and all over the city. I've never seen anything like it.
