If you want flowers, heed this advice.. Never fertilise your lilacs, in fact unless they are dying, ignore them completely. They hate being fed or fussed with and will take it out on you by not flowering.
I will heed your advise then Steven.A tree that loves neglect, will restrain myself from nannying it then.
Snappy, a friend of me found a lilac tree on the litter and now it is in her garden!

Lucky old her!!I waited over a year to find it at the plant shop.I was so excited when i found it.I usually walk up and down perusing the plants, finding the labels to read, and thinking where would it look good.I hope your friend loves the lilac tree like me.
