
The flowers belong to....Convolvulus arvensis.Field bindweed, common along edges and wasteland.Its funny because in the Dobies book you can get convolvulus seeds to grow.It is pretty and it had a faint smell unlike the greater bindweed which should smell, but doesnt.
I read all climbing plants twirl clockwise up stems, except bindweed which is a rebel without a cause.It climbs counter clockwise.Crazy.I thought that was just bath water going down the plug depending on what hemisphere you were on.

I have bindweed everywhere. The roots can go down 6 feet. They do have pretty little flowers, so at least its not an ugly weed.
i think the pink/white flowers are gorgeous.These must have been cultivated by plant growers as convolvulus look the same.I will take some pics in morning of the grass verge showing limited growth, and overpowering growth.
Sigrun maybe it has different name in germany because this weed is at home in europe...
