Sunflower Sunday

In flower better today the Sunflower that is already attracting the bee's.I love these flowers, they are so cheerful.No wander Van gogh painted them often.

I love yellow flowers the most, of all colors. And such a magnificent flower it is!
This reminds me, I must take a photo of my own sunflowers for a blog post! I think mine are a paler yellow this year. From a pack of mixed color seeds, but only the pale yellows have grown.

Hi Sylvia, my Sunflowers came from the bird feeders.In Castleford I discovered that they can germinate once dropped from the feeder.I leave them to grow and wow look at the flower.They are beautiful, bright, and so reminiscent of childhood and of course Van Gough paintings.I bought an oil painting from Cornwall showing a field of Sunflowers.I also love how they follow the sun with their cheery faces.
Thanks Daisy, also another plant to grow next year.I have three other Sunflower plants growing to the flower bud stage.They will also keep the birds feeding in the Autumn as I have a whole flock of regular feeders..
