seed collecting

Baking bread never rises when you watch it.Instead i went outside for seed collecing.
I have plenty of seeds now. Violas, pansys, petunia's, foxgloves (soon to be planted for over winter growing), french marigolds, sunflowers, sunflower little leo, Tritaelia seeds, and seeds from Hostas (will these grow??).
I have two seeds from a hawthorne tree to see if i can make them germinate...
The bread is now baking after all the stages the breadmaker goes through.Back downstairs soon to check on its progress....

Snappy, the seeds from hostas will grow- but they do not look like the motherplant!

It's funny which seeds grow. I picked a few rosehips from a parking lot planting of rugosas in Germany 2 years ago. And now I have several little rose bushes from planting the seeds! I was so surprised they sprouted! I thought at first they were strawberry plants!
I have also tried planting hawthorn seeds, but had no luck. Hope yours fare better!

Salix tree i am trying uncle toms method to germinate the Hawthorn seeds.Im an avid seed collector, and end up with lots of pots. The labels get lost and then i have to ask people what is this plant??
