Random thoughts

There must be catharsis in writing all this gardening stuff down.I'm musing about what i need to but to perfect the garden. So a mental shopping list with rationale!!
1) Some ten foot long wire to make into an arched loop for the morning glory to grow up and along. Its maximum height is ten foot or three metres.

2)A couple more firefly globe lights, like i said the magic of lighting the garden gives it an extra dimension. The lights we have are orange glow, or plain white light.

3) Hanging baskets to have some trailing petunias or fuschias and a bit of ivy to blow in the wind.I have some problem though about how to fix them to outside the house.

4) I want some more larger containers.I read in gardeners world about planting summer bulbs in a pot with different flowering times so there is a continuous changing display.Ditto in winter with tulips and daffs for spring. Its quite a novel idea for me, a semi permenant display alternating between summer/winter flowers. Also for summer bedding plant displays

5) A new lawnmower. For two years i have struggled with a static hover mower going up and down slopes into holes.I have the blades which break all the time.Something with wheels and a collecting box.At the moment i mow, rake, and collect all the cut grass by hand.

6) A new watering can.The old one has the nozzle missing so it pours out violently. The delicate plants need a fine spray through the many holed nozzle attachment!!

Thats all i can think of.A proper garden is never ready, always evolving, and developing. We try to control nature, but really we are working with her to attain the highest levels of beauty.Keep on growing.

WOW! You've been really busy. The gardens look great. Love your monring glories. Can't wait to see how they do for you. Yes, you always have to soak the seeds over night. They have very hard shells.
