Green Tulip Eater

As I was planting yesterday I saw this bug walk across the soil and up the tulip bulbs. He was green with a dark back.
He climbed to the top of the leaves, then back down and dissapeared into the soil..

Here he is in action climbing the Tulip bulb.I wander if he is whats been nibbling some of the leaves?
The wanders of nature!

It's a Shield Bug and they don't do much damage in the garden, so enjoy!

I did a quick little search and think it is a red cross shield bug. Shield bugs are also known as stink bugs. I'm not sure they harm anything at all. They are predators so my just be eating whatever is eating your tulips.

Thanks VP,I have never heard of a Shield Bug.Maybe he was climbing for a better view of the garden. He was small in comparison with the tulip!
Hi Vanilla Lotus,He is a friendly bug then.If they eat some other garden pests. Thanks for doing some research :)
