As the day progressed I photographed lots of insects..Bee's, Butterflies, little beetles, flys, and even some Harlow Carr snails dozing on Hosta leaves after a full meal. This is a collection of them together. Harlow Carr was buzzing to the sound of many insect helpers showing the wildlife the gardens nurture. They are harder to capture on photos but some were more posing than others.

I WANT that poppy!! i am jealous of all you poppy growers. They last a few hours and jap beetles love to munch on them.
Hey Bruv' - I took some photos for you (will email 'em) of one of my "rock-patch-garden" succulent flowers (impressive for such a non-gardener as me) and some red flower things outside work (country campus). Don't think the red flower pic's come out well. but we'll see. Love sis x
fabulous photos, love all the beasties!!
Nice to see that you used time off from work to sit and observe the bugs I guess that's almost like ~stopping to smell the roses!~
hugs NG
Hi Dirty fingernails,Poppys can be quickly damaged by wind, rain, or Japenese beetles.I love the two toned poppy, red with a dusting of icing sugar. Is there a way of beating the Japanese beetles?
Thanks Jaws, will look forward to all your photos!
Thanks Claire,I love a garden full of winged beasties. It is alive with life.....
Thanks Nature girl.Away from work I did both literally.Smelt the Roses and chocolate cosmos, and photographed the bee's who did not mind at all.In a healthy garden they are like natures spirits flying in and out, and around the garden.Hugs back to you :)
