Mot a chance! I saw some slugs keeping warm in the compost heap! And I found one that had tunneled into a potato in the ground.
Pretty viola! Aren't they just the sweetest flowers?

Oh, my favourite violas again! They are always so cute!

Snappy, have a look at this link, I thought it might be of interest to you. It's on Monty Don's latest project and the book "Growing out of trouble" is mentioned as well:

It is an usual winter for us all globally. Mild unheard of weather in Dec..washing cars on the 10th of Dec....when have we done this!
Something is surely gone wrong with mother nature.
Pray that it all evens out soon. Peace to you and I hope you have caught the holiday spirit! NG

Hi David.
Nature is strange with all this blooming in December.
Have a nice Christmas time.

Snappy, that's my favorite part of winter-no slugs or bugs! Hey, I wanted to ask you if you know where Stuart went? I visited his blog after he went from 'Gardening 4 Dummies' to 'Tips N' Ideas"...but now it seems he's gone altogether. Any ideas?
