Anemones

Who cant adore these brilliant red Anemone pictures? They are all of the same flower from bud to explosion of crimson glory!
One shows the liquorice all sorts blue sweet, centre. They are the last flowering plant in November. The busy lizzies look tired, with faded red to pink colours. These are bald and bright!

Thanks Oldroses.I only bought them this year. The Hollandia remind me of poppies with the red delicate petals.I did not know they would flower twice. The bulbs send out many stems and leafs, and some develop the flowers!

Snappy, I just bought some red Anemone coronaria to try [have to get them planted fast] and the photo on the package looks sort of like yours. The name on them it "The Governor". Did you soak them before planting? I'm finding conflicting advice on this.

Annie I soaked the bulbs? over night in warm water. They all germinated but quite spread out time wise,I just followed the instructions on the packaging.I hope yours grow well and give you pleasure when they flower!
