Freshly wettened by summer storm, thunder, lightning, and heavy rain for an hour. Posted by Picasa

Lucky you, we've had no rain here for weeks and everything is very dry. I have to water my garden in the morning and in the evening at the moment

I bet your garden just loved that storm and the rain - nearly as much as you did.

Yes Snappy we had a humdinger of a storm here too. The rain was like a deluge! If I had gone out into the garden it would have been like that old Charlton Heston film where he blows the dam and he is being swept along with all the drowning soldier ants....yes you may have guessed my garden has a bit of an ant problem.
Incredible but even after rain like that it is all dried up only after a couple of hours sunshine.

I loved it, but the coolness is always short lived. In my memory the summer is hot during the day, and humid at night. The sale of electric fans has been rocketing since our summer arrived. Thanks to Alice, carol, and James.
