Night time

I stood outside looking at the garden. It was very quiet except for a slight breeze which blew my windcatchers so one started click click clicking as it turned. The bird feeder is now full up of nuts and birdfood again. The third refill in a few weeks.I looked at the nightlights casting their ghostly glows on funny shapes. At night plants have distinct shapes, the daytime colours gone so its shades of grey and black. Its so quiet though, still time.Things are growing now, they absorb sunlight through chlorophyll, and work at night with growing. As much as we like looking at them during the daytime, its nightime when things grow....
I love watching things grow daily.Been thinking about the seeds i bought.Where to plant them tomorrow morning.Goodnight world.Off to dream about gardens and flowers.

Since you like the garden at night so much, have you considered planting a Moon Garden? They are gardens with all white flowers. They were very popular during the Victorian era supposedly because the ladies could enjoy them at night without spoiling their complexions in sunlight.

I had been working on a small moon garden myself however I got side tracked and other plants went in. I am thinking of doing one on the side of my deck.
