Square display border

This part of the garden is square shaped, bordered by path on one side, and grass on three sides. Its overwintered ocuupants are two rose bushes with the sweetest smelling delicate orange roses.Last years hosta's which i forgot about suddenly started to rise from the earth, and more than last year.
My success last year was that french marigolds were great companion plants that drew in hover flies and ladybirds which demolished the aphids that were attacking the roses. No more aphids, and the roses were serene.
I have planted a lot of seeds, plus inside i have 32 (after an accident flipped my seedtray) french marigold plants.
The idea is a mixture of green leaves, and orange flowers.More masses of them this year.It should look wanderful!!
