"In my garden there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams are as beautiful." (~Abram L. Urban)
Thanks Lisa, the Sempervivum caught the raindrop and holds it in the centre of the rosette! Hey Chad, nice photo blog. You have a good eye for the photo's.I liked the still waters at the lake.. Karen I will rescue them today. They are two plants growing in a pot with lots of stony soil. The large succulent container garden will stay outside.I put plenty of stones in the soil so it has excellent drainage.Watery soil means rotting plants... Thanks Beverly.. Naturegirl I will copy it when I have some ink to print it as a photo.Clever idea,I could make a calender selecting twelve (how hard will that be with hundreds of pictures!!!) photo's for printing.
The plant is definitely not Sempervivum, it is most probably an Echeveria.
I myself have 1.500 different sempervivums and I know how the Sempervivum plants looks like. No such ghostly grey cultivar yet, only Echeverias can be this way.
Excellent close-up!
ReplyDeleteCool idea.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's lovely, but some of them don't like to be too wet. Will you be taking it indoors, or leaving it outside for the winter?
ReplyDeleteGreat pic!
