I have a friend from Lancashire that still owes me $10 from a bet on the quarterfinals in 1998 England vs. Argentina.. he says he doesn't have to pay because if I were a real friend I wouldn't have bet against England.
Good to see your spirited about the game. My husband is English too and we wish them the best. Love your gardening photos- keep up the good work. Also liked your 'about me' statement- yes people do read these.
Snappy, I have also a englisch flagg. But I Can not put them out in the moment, people will kill me!
Sigrun :-)
No sigrun put the german flag out.We are hoping not to play Germany in the first knockout round by us both winning our groups. The whole country is buzzing about the world cup.I hope its football that makes the headlines and not trouble...

Steven you must be mad to bet against England!I want them to do well and banish the memories of 1966 by equaling them.Come on England!!!
I'm mad and owed a little over five pounds, but I'm pulling for England this time.
